The master cleanse lemonade diet has been getting a lot of attention from popular celebrity magazines, diet and weightloss publications and medical journals. The master cleanse diet, which is also commonly reffered to as the lemonade diet, or master cleanser has been the subject of much debate between different sides of the health community. But does this diet prove beneficial or just a fad diet scam like so many others?
The master cleanse lemonade diet, which was originally developed by Stanely Burroughs is a specialized type of detox diet in which the individual ingests a mixture of organize lemon or lime juice, organic grade b maple syrup, and cayenne pepper. This is a strict diet in which the individual can ingest little else. To some, this may seem extreme, but to those who support the master cleanse diet, it has brought them a plethora of health benefits.
One of the most commonly misunderstood concepts of the diet, which may be the cause of much of its controversy, is that it has an underlying purpose other than simply starving oneself to lose weight.
Even though extreme weight loss is one of the master cleanse diet highlights, it was really never meant for such. To really understand the master cleanse lemonade diet, and to know why so many individuals stand behind it, you must take a deep look in today's society and the urgency of creating change and the ability to "Reset" ones dietary habits.
I use the word "Reset" and that is quite possibly the best word to describe the purpose of the master cleanse lemonade diet. In today's 9-5 lifestyle, we are consistently subjecting ourselves to fast foods, additives, pesticides, preservatives, chemicals, and foods we are addicted and/or allergic to. Many of us have very strong food allergies in which we may not even know of which can cause us a plethora of health problems especially in thinking long-term. Basically, our bodies were NEver created to undergo such abuse and neglect. In nature, there are no such things as food additives, preservatives (other than salt) and many of the other chemically treated and proccessed foods which are the heart of diseases such as cancer and diabetes.
The idea of the master cleanse diet is to give our bodies a break from these foods. Many of these unhealthy foods we are addicted to. Many of us eat out of boredom. Many of us have allergies to foods that we eat every single day. The worse part about it is that we never really get a break. So conceptually, these toxins and pollutants in our body build up and cause us chronic health issues over a period of time. We are subjected to them in such large amounts our bodies aren't able to properly dispose of this waste and we can't properly detoxify ourselves according to the master cleanse diet.
Those for the master cleanse diet believe that it gives us a break and allows us to flush these toxins, additives, preservatives, chemicals, excess hormones, pesticides and everything else, giving our bodies a "fresh start". By doing so, we can start over as we become no longer addicted to the unhealthy diet we were so much involved with previously. It is believed that women can have fertility problems in addition to young boys growing breasts due to the large amounts of hormones in which we ingest on a daily basis.
The master cleanse lemonade diet is supposed to teach us a little self denial and self discipline. It is intended to break ourselves free of what we previously felt we couldn't live without, giving us a fresh start to a new beginning in our health. By doing so, it is believed we can rid ourselves of disease, lose weight, think clearly, relieve chronic pains and aches, have more energy, think positively, and be all around generally healthier.
Whether or not you believe the master cleanse lemonade diet to be based on fact, one thing is for certain, we do live in a much unhealthier environment than which the human body was intended for. Whether or not you believe the master cleanse fast, aka, the lemon cleanse aka the cayenne pepper diet or maple syrup diet is right for you, simply changing the way we eat can drastically improve your quality of life.
