With the enormity of the amount of weight loss supplements out there on the market, it's hard to distinguish the ones that work and the ones which are healthy. Many of the weight loss supplements are loaded with caffeine and other accelerants which will get your body way out of whack. These foreign amplified supplements can have unfortunate long lasting effects on the body and some just don't do anything!
I'm a big believer in buying local organic foods and the same should go when it comes to everything you put in your body, including your supplements. These following natural supplements are not going to give your body the jitters and your heart won't be beating a mile a minute. This is a the good old stuff that mother nature intended for the world to reap the benefits of, and I'm going to share it with you today.
1. Fish Oil. Fish oil is a great supplement and you should be taking this regardless of whether or not you are trying to lose weight. It's loaded with essential omega-3's and his been proven to prevent heart attacks, improve joint strength, and of course weight loss. Fish oil has been found to slow your heart rate down and therefore you have to work much harder to get it up during exercise. The DHA found in the fish oil also can kill the fat cells eaten from food before they convert permanently.
2. Coconut Oil. What another member of the fats family? Yes I'm a firm believer that a strict low-fat diet will actually cause food cravings until you binge by slamming the entire menu at Taco Bell. And the healthy fats from coconut oil will give your body what it craves have optimal energy. Virgin coconut oil is a great natural supplement for fat loss because it is comprised of medium chained fatty acids which are more easily absorbed by the body and converted into energy. This will give your metabolism a boost and jump start your body into burning calories.
3. Green Tea Extract. The secret of green tea extract for fat loss are the catechins and polyphenols that is has. Catechins work by speeding up the metabolism and they stimulate the sympathetic nervous system in a way similar to ephedra but without increasing the heart rate. They also work by decreasing your appetite too so you're less likely to overindulge. Studies have found that taking the extract is more easily absorbed that drinking plain green tea and you would have to drink 8 cups to get the same amount of catechins and polyphenols as in 1 serving of extract.
