Fist of all you have to remember that your body is that of an animal, and as such has certain built in responses. These responses are caused by millions of years of evolution, and are hard to work around if you don't know what they are.
When you go on a diet and start eating less food certain things happen in your body that you may not be aware of. For instance as with any animal, when we suddenly eat less our body thinks we are experiencing a famine so it changes our metabolism. It does this to protect your reserves and to hoard as much fat as possible against an uncertain future. It also changes the amount of fuel you require by causing you to want to move around less.
These are not things conducive to helping you lose weight.
Your body will switch to a super fuel efficient machine that requires hardly any food to run and as a by-product, destroys your hope of losing weight.
It gets worse than this though, as you are about learn. When your body thinks it's going to starve it also starts to cause you to experience an overwhelming desire to eat.
Remember your body thinks you're in danger. Starvation has been a killer for humans since the dawn of our race, and as far as millions of years of instinct is concerned you need to go the extra mile to get food.
If you were living in a jungle this would be fine. You might be inspired to go somewhere you hadn't been before in search of food, and possibly solve your problems. However you know this is no longer the situation.
Modern living unfortunately is unaware or unconcerned in what went into our evolution, and because of this often makes terrible mistakes. Unfortunately television plays an important role in our lives today, and mentioning our evolution, or the fact we are animals is not want people want to hear. This does not however change the fundamental truth that we are.
Do you realise that by eating foods you desire, you will reassure your body that there are no problems with obtaining food. You aren't starving and everything is OK.
Once you have done this your body will start to run far less efficiently, and this means it stores less of the food as fat.
When reviewing this information you ought to realise that diets by their very essence are hindered by your nature. And as we know from multiple examples, if you set ourselves against nature, you set ourselves up for failure.
Don't fight the way you own body works, use it to your own advantage. Your bodies metabolism triggers can help you lose weight without effort and pain if you only decide to pay attention to the way your made.
