Security Cage Lockers are ideal for temporary and secure storage in a variety of locations. These lockers also offer an "open view" that allows others, including security personnel, to view the contents within the welded wire. And they help end theft and pilferage by locking items out of reach of others. The applications or users for these lockers are businesses, factories, warehouses, retail stores, schools, and residential garages. The full length cage door has a hasp and is secured with the user's padlock or combination lock. The full length door is hinged and designed to secure the full length of the opening side of the door to the frame.
Our Security Cage Lockers are constructed of 8 gauge welded wire and 14 gauge steel frames which are very durable and vandal resistant. The lockers are available in two different sizes, standard and large. The standard size is comprised of five cages or compartments. The overall dimensions of the standard size are eighteen inches in width, eighteen inches in depth, and seventy two inches in height. Therefore, each compartment in the standard size is approximately fourteen inches in height and has two point six square feet of space. The overall weight of the standard size is one hundred and forty pounds. The large size is comprised of four cages or compartments. The overall dimensions of the large size are thirty inches in width, thirty inches in depth, and eighty inches in height. Therefore, each compartment in the large size is approximately twenty inches in height and has ten square feet of space. The overall weight of the large size is two hundred and thirty pounds.
Security Cage Lockers can be shipped in assembled or unassembled units. The individual parts of the lockers include a full height door, top panel, back panel, welded wire sides, and shelves. When assembling the lockers it is important to anchor them to the floor or wall, or to both. The type of anchor fasteners will depend on the material of the floor or wall. The lockers should be assembled individually and usually only a phillips head screw driver and a pair of pliers are required. However, additional tools may be needed for the anchoring of the lockers.
A flat, level surface should be used to assemble the Security Cage Lockers. All of the compartment shelves should be fastened to the left and right sides of the cage. This can be accomplished by using the shelf supports that bolt to the shelf from the outside of the wire mesh. Three screws, large washers, and nuts will attach the shelves to the wire mesh sides. The back panel should be placed against the two wire mesh sides and then screwed through the upright posts that are located on the inside of the cage locker. The top should then be bolted on and the identical bottom should have its flanges facing down. Next the full length door should be placed on its hinges and bolted into place. All that remains is leveling the cage lockers and then anchoring the entire unit in the desired location.
