Organization skills are great to have in any job you might acquire over the years. It is never a bad thing to be organized. For some jobs like teaching for example, you have lockers, mostly for students who want to keep their things in one place. For other jobs, such as department stores, you might have pallet racking to keep things organized. No matter what you use to organize, it is always a good thing. Having everything exactly where you want it to be is not only good on a personal level but is good for the customers, employees, students, and whoever else uses the organizational device.
Some people swear that having things unorganized is how they know where everything is. That may be if they do not know what it is like to be organized. For some, it might take some getting used to, but it changes everything. Being organized can even make changes in someone's personality, its known to be a stress reliever. There is no strong disadvantage to being organized and clean.
Some people find it extremely difficult to stay organized. They always seem to mess everything up whenever it is organized without really realizing they are doing it. Staying clean and structured can be difficult but also life changing if used to help keep things in check. Being unorganized is a nasty habit that takes effort to be completely rid of. Sometimes people need serious help to stop, such as hoarders.
Hoarding is a serious problem and is actually considered a disease. Hoarders are people who keep everything they have ever owned or collect an excessive amount of some object that it begins to take over their life. Hoarding is an extreme case of being unorganized. Hoarding is not something that should be taken as lightly as being simply messy. It is most definitely something that needs to be helped and the person may need serious counseling in order to get rid of their addiction.
Some jobs it is more crucial than others to stay organized, teaching being a prime example. Teachers need to have papers organized and lesson plans, as well as making sure they do not lose any students work. If they lose something it affects a student's grade as well as their reputation as a great teacher. It is extremely hard to be completely organized but it is not impossible in any stretch of the imagination. Working hard enough for something can give you serious accomplishments.
Organization is not a subject to be taken lightly. It can make or break the outcome of almost any situation, as simple as it might be. There is no way to make sure everything will go according to plans but it is much easier to predict a good outcome when the preparation and organization are up to par. There are various methods that anyone can use in order to ensure organization. For some changing your ways is easier said than done, but if given time, effort, and cooperation, it can surely be done for almost anyone.
