1. Skarsdale Diet
The Scarsdale Medical Diet is a low fat/low carb, high protein diet that requires a strict diet for two weeks using specific foods, then for two more weeks it lets you add more foods. You also have to eat one grapefruit every day, as this is said to have the enzymes that will help you burn the calories. It also uses artificial sweeteners instead of sugar.

3. Dr. Perricone's Weight-Loss Diet
Perricone is a doctor from the Michigan State University College of Human Medicine and has the book The Perricone Weight-Loss Diet: A Simple 3-Part Plan to Lose the Fat, the Wrinkles, and the Years. His plan has food that contains protein, omega-3 fatty acids, and antioxidants like fish, turkey, eggs, yogurt, vegetables, fruits, whole grains, green tea, spices and water.
You avoid foods high glycemic foods like alcohol, breads, pasta, rice and sugar. He calls these the anti-inflammatory foods and the principle is that if you decrease this inflammation in your diet, that you will lose weight quickly because it improves your metabolism.
