Be Aware Of Quick Fix Promises And Magic Pills

I was just perusing on FaceBook, and within a few minutes I came across a dozen advertisements promising exorbitant amounts of weight loss in less than two weeks! Another advertisement stated that you didn't have to change your diet at all. . .just eat what you want, whenever you want to, and this magic pill will melt the pounds away. There are pills out there that increase your metabolism, but they stop working after a while because you are not getting rid of the toxins. We want it all and we want it NOW. I get that. We spend hundreds of dollars purchasing diet programs & magic pills that leave us feeling hungry and/or jittery at best. Time to stop the madness, don't you think?

Why Traditional Weight Loss Programs Don't Work

In a nutshell, traditional weight loss programs are nothing more than calorie cutting programs. The most widely known weight loss programs that advertise on TV only work temporarily, because they ONLY cut calories and introduce yet more toxins into your body with their packaged/processed food-like products. Even their spokespeople's weight yo-yo's back and forth! Because these programs fail to rid your body of harmful toxins, your body has no recourse but to put the pounds back on by storing the toxins in fat. Traditional diets don't work because they never rid your body of the toxins!

You Cannot Exercise A Bad Diet Away

Nope. You can't. As a certified yoga instructor and fellow health nut, I believed most of my life that exercise played a much larger role in the health of my body. The contributors to your healthy body are 10% genetics, 10% exercise, and a whopping 80% diet & nutrition! Whoa! The great news is you don't have to take my word for it. You can experience it for yourself and tell your own story.

Detoxing Can Be Easy And Fun!

There are many detoxing programs available for you to choose from. There is often a misconception about what a detoxing program is. Some folks think it is some sort of liquid diet or fasting. Some people think that if they eat healthy foods for three days it'll do the trick. Nope. You have to give your body time to first eliminate all the toxins, and secondly, to free your body from harmful addictions and have it acclimate to its new state of well-being. I recommend a four-week program. Be extremely strict, i.e. dairy-free, gluten-free, coffee-free, GMO free, soy-free, sugar-free, artificial sweeteners-free, etc. There is more information to come as you continue to read the "Detoxing For Life Series."
