Ever since you were young you were told that the best way to lose fat quickly was through cardiovascular training. You probably have worked out with traditional cardio and even though your heart is strong and healthy, you may wonder why you haven't lost the weight you want.
Maybe you have been working out at the gym for several months trying to lose unsightly belly fat or trying to have rapid fat loss to no avail. It could be that you need to step up your training into interval cardio workouts instead.
The problem is that you are going about it the wrong way. We know that most people don't like to hear that but all is not lost. What you have done so far has worked to get you started on your quick fat lost but now you just have to step it up a notch.
It has been proven through countless studies that the interval cardio does a better job for losing fat quickly than the older way of taking your time with cardio. It is important to note that in order to lose fat quickly you have to have your cardio up for a period of time.
With traditional cardio this is possible but you can also have problems with your joints, ankles and hips and it takes a longer time. With Interval cardio your heart and lungs will work harder with less work. Also, you will see a steady improvement as you continue the program.
The reason that interval training works so well and is the best way to lose weight is because when you are finished your body still is working with what is called an "after burn" effect. This boosts your metabolism and keeps it working for a few hours after you are finished. In effect this means that you will be burning calories all day long. Can you imagine what this would be like after a few weeks?
You do not experience this after burn with traditional cardio training. Also, the interval training gives you the fastest way to lose weight because it gives you a variety of exercises to do and you can change them around. You can increase your workout intensity and then focus on muscle groups at the same time. Working these together keeps you moving and keeps your body yearning for more.
You can also systematically change your workouts over a period of time so that you can work different areas. With traditional cardio you will gradually create a healthier heart over time, but you will pretty much do the same type of cardio all the time.
There are many reasons why interval cardio training is better than tradition. As an example, these workouts take a shorter time and you don't lose any muscle with it. In the traditional cardio unless you have a solid nutrition plan, you may lose muscle. You will also find that your resting heart rate decreases, which is what you want from any type of cardio program.
